WooCommerce SMS and WhatsApp Notifications for Indian Stores
Send order confirmations, COD checks, shipping updates and abandoned-cart reminders from your WooCommerce store on WhatsApp and SMS. You connect through WooCommerce's built-in webhooks, so order messages work without an SMS plugin.
To send WooCommerce notifications, add a webhook in WooCommerce that points to a connector in our panel. New and updated orders then trigger WhatsApp templates, such as a COD confirmation or a shipping alert. SMS works through our REST API from a small code hook. Abandoned-cart reminders need a cart-recovery plugin that posts the cart.
Send an order SMS when an order is placed
This hook sends a DLT-compliant order confirmation through our REST API when an order moves to Processing. WhatsApp messages need no code: they run from the connector and playbooks.

Which WooCommerce messages you can automate
Our panel includes ready WhatsApp playbooks for online stores. Each one runs on events from your store and uses a template that Meta has approved.
- COD order confirmation: asks the buyer to confirm a cash-on-delivery order before you dispatch it.
- Order shipped: a shipping alert with the order number and tracking details.
- Abandoned cart recovery: WhatsApp reminders 1 hour and 24 hours after a cart is left, with a link back to it.
- Review request: asks for a product review a few days after the order.
How to connect WooCommerce
The connection uses WooCommerce's own webhooks, so there is nothing to install for order messages.
- In our panel, add a WooCommerce connector. It gives you a webhook URL and a secret.
- In WordPress, open WooCommerce, then Settings, Advanced and Webhooks, and add a webhook.
- Choose the topic Order created, paste the delivery URL and secret, and set the status to Active. Add a second webhook for Order updated.
- Install the playbooks you need and pick an approved template for each one.
- Place a test order with your own phone number and check the messages arrive.
Sending SMS from WooCommerce
Some buyers, especially on COD orders, still respond best to SMS. To send SMS on order events, add a small hook to your theme or a custom plugin that calls our REST API with your DLT template. The example on this page sends a confirmation when an order moves to Processing.
SMS in India must match a DLT-approved template exactly, apart from the variables. Register your order, shipping and COD templates first, and use the same wording in your code.
Abandoned carts in WooCommerce
WooCommerce has no built-in abandoned-cart event. Use a cart-recovery plugin that can post the cart to a webhook with the shopper's phone number and cart link. Our connector accepts these events and runs the 1-hour and 24-hour WhatsApp reminders.
Only message shoppers who gave their number and agreed to hear from you. Cart reminders are marketing messages, so they need a marketing template.
What WooCommerce notifications cost
WhatsApp messages are charged per delivered template on our WhatsApp plans, which start at ₹999 a month. Order, COD and shipping updates are utility messages at ₹0.12 to ₹0.16, and cart reminders are marketing messages at ₹0.88 to ₹0.98.
SMS costs ₹0.15 to ₹0.20 per delivered SMS, with plans from 5,000 SMS and credits valid for a year. GST at 18% is extra on both.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a WooCommerce SMS plugin?
Not for order messages. WooCommerce has webhooks built in, and our connector receives them directly. You only need a plugin for abandoned carts, because WooCommerce does not create a cart-abandoned event on its own.
Can I confirm COD orders on WhatsApp?
Yes. The COD confirmation playbook sends a WhatsApp template when a cash-on-delivery order comes in, so the buyer can confirm it before you dispatch. It needs an approved utility template.
Can I send SMS instead of WhatsApp?
Yes. Call our REST API from a WooCommerce hook with your DLT template, as in the code example on this page, or use our Zapier connector. SMS reaches customers who do not use WhatsApp.
Are WooCommerce webhooks secure?
Yes. WooCommerce signs each webhook with your secret, and our connector checks that signature before it acts on the event.
What do WooCommerce notifications cost?
