A bulk SMS provider in Saudi Arabia for growing brands
Saudi Arabia has one of the busiest app and e-commerce markets in the Gulf. Delivery apps in Riyadh, clinics in Jeddah, car service centres in Dammam and training institutes across the Kingdom all rely on SMS for codes and alerts that must arrive on any phone.
AvanceZone Technology has run bulk SMS from Coimbatore since 2000. We serve businesses outside India through global carrier partners, and many Saudi firms with Indian teams or vendors use us to run Saudi and Indian traffic from one account.
Sender name rules in the Kingdom
Saudi Arabia has one of the stricter sender name regimes in the region. The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) sets the governance, and registration is handled through licensed providers. We check the latest position with you during onboarding, but published guidance points to these rules:
- Every sender name must be registered before use, and it must relate to your organisation's name or activity.
- Advertising sender names end with -AD and are limited to 8 characters, for example ACMEKSA-AD. Service sender names cannot carry promotions.
- Registration usually asks for a commercial registration (CR), a signed and stamped authorisation letter on company letterhead, and proof that the name belongs to you, such as a trademark or Saudi domain.
- An annual registration fee applies, charged by the registration channel, not by us.
- Promotional messages are generally sent between 9am and 9:45pm KSA time. During Ramadan the window usually shifts to noon until 1am.

Writing Arabic SMS that people read
Most Saudi customers prefer Arabic for anything personal, such as appointments, payments or offers. English works well for OTPs and for expatriate staff. Arabic is sent as Unicode with 70 characters per part, so a reminder that fits one English part may need two in Arabic. Keep the brand name, the key detail and one action in the first line.
If you send to staff from South Asia, a short English or Urdu message often works better than Arabic. We can set up separate lists so each group gets the right language.
When to use WhatsApp instead of SMS in Saudi Arabia
WhatsApp is widely used in the Kingdom for customer service. If you want customers to reply, see product photos, share a location or pay from a button, the WhatsApp Business API is often the better fit. We are a Meta Tech Provider and set up templates, chatbots and a shared inbox.
SMS remains the safer route for OTPs, bank-style alerts and customers who have not opted in to WhatsApp. A WhatsApp-first flow with SMS fallback covers both.

Frequently asked questions
Is sender name registration mandatory in Saudi Arabia?
Yes. Saudi rules require every business sender name to be registered before messages are delivered under it. The name must relate to your organisation, and supporting documents such as a commercial registration and an authorisation letter are usually needed. We help you prepare the file and confirm current requirements during onboarding.
What is the -AD suffix on Saudi SMS?
Advertising sender names in Saudi Arabia end with -AD, for example ACMEKSA-AD, and are limited to 8 characters before the suffix. This tells customers the message is a promotion. OTPs and service alerts use a separate service sender name, which must not be used for marketing.
Can a company outside Saudi Arabia send SMS to Saudi numbers?
Yes, through a provider with Saudi routes, but sender name registration still applies. Operators usually ask for documents that link the sender name to your organisation, and local entities with a CR have the simplest path. If you do not have a Saudi entity, tell us early and we will check which option is open to you.
What are the sending hours for promotional SMS in Saudi Arabia?
Published guidance places promotional messages between 9am and 9:45pm KSA time, with the window usually moving to noon until 1am during Ramadan. OTPs and service alerts are not tied to these hours. Our panel lets you schedule campaigns in KSA time.
How are Saudi SMS rates charged?
Saudi SMS is billed per message and quoted by destination, in INR or USD on request. Your rate depends on volume and message type. Sender name registration fees are separate and are paid to the registration channel. Share your monthly volume and we will send a quote.
