Bulk SMS Qatar for Doha Retail, Clinics and Event Organisers
Reach +974 numbers with OTPs, appointment reminders, order updates and offers in Arabic or English. Our bulk SMS Qatar service helps you register sender IDs on Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar and links your app or CRM by API, or you can use the web panel.

A bulk SMS Qatar service sends OTPs, reminders and offers to +974 numbers under your brand name. Qatar's mobile networks, Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar, accept alphanumeric sender IDs only after pre-registration, and messages from unregistered IDs are blocked. Marketing SMS also needs the customer's prior consent under Qatar's personal data privacy law.

Why Doha businesses use our bulk SMS Qatar service
Qatar is a small, high-spending market where customers expect quick and accurate updates. Malls and electronics chains in Doha and Lusail run sales around Qatar National Day on 18 December and through Ramadan and Eid. Private clinics and diagnostic centres send appointment and lab result reminders. Exhibition and sports organisers need ticket codes, gate changes and shuttle times on the day. Each of these messages must reach Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar numbers, including phones without data.
AvanceZone Technology, our parent company in Coimbatore, has sent bulk SMS since 2000 and reaches Qatari networks through global carrier partners. India's Ministry of External Affairs puts the Indian community in Qatar at about 8.3 lakh people. Indian hospitals, travel agents, colleges, builders and remittance firms that serve them can send +974 messages from the same account they use for DLT traffic in India, with one set of delivery reports for both.
Qatar sender ID registration and marketing rules
The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) regulates telecoms in Qatar, and the mobile operators apply strict sender ID checks. Alphanumeric sender IDs must be pre-registered on Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar, and carriers began blocking unregistered IDs in August 2025. Numeric senders and generic words like INFO or SMS are not accepted. Registration usually takes one to two weeks. Companies with a Qatar commercial registration (CR) can use the local process, and others register through an international route with signed NOC letters.
Marketing SMS follows Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (Law No. 13 of 2016). It bars electronic direct marketing without prior consent, and each message should identify the sender, show that it is marketing and give a way to stop. In August 2026 the National Cyber Security Agency reminded the public that they can withdraw consent at any time and complain if senders ignore them. In practice, plan for these points:
- Keep a dated record of how each customer agreed to receive offers.
- Start offers with your brand name and a clear word such as Offer or Ad.
- Give a working way to opt out, such as a number to call, and act on requests quickly.
- Adult, political, religious, gambling and cryptocurrency content is filtered.
- Some international routes carry only transactional traffic to Qatar, so tell us early if you plan promotions.

Writing Arabic and English SMS for Qatar
Most retail, event and B2B messages in Qatar go out in English, since much of the population is expatriate. Arabic matters for Qatari families and for healthcare, education and government-facing services. Ooredoo's own bulk SMS tariff sets out the limits: 160 characters for one English part and 70 for Arabic, or 153 and 67 per part when a message is split. A 136-character Arabic message therefore goes as three parts.
Write prices in riyals, such as QAR 249, and use a date format customers read at a glance, such as 18 Dec. For event alerts, put the gate or time first, because many people read only the preview on the lock screen. Ramadan in 2027 is expected to begin around 8 February, so plan Arabic offers and registrations before then. For Indian residents, Malayalam, Hindi or Tamil Unicode SMS is often clearer than English.
WhatsApp and SMS for Qatar customers
Shoppers and patients in Qatar often message shops, clinics and delivery services on WhatsApp. The WhatsApp Business API suits conversations and rich content: a product catalogue, a lab report PDF, a map pin to the right mall entrance or quick reply buttons to confirm an appointment. As a Meta Tech Provider, we handle the API setup, template submission and a shared inbox for your staff. Since 1 July 2026, Meta has charged messages to Qatari numbers at Qatar-specific rates.
SMS is still the right channel for OTPs, payment confirmations and urgent event updates, because it reaches every handset without an app or a data plan. Visitors arriving for a match or an exhibition may be roaming with data switched off, and SMS still gets through. You can try WhatsApp first and let the platform resend by SMS when WhatsApp fails, with both channels in one report.
Pricing, quotes and support hours for Qatar
We price Qatar SMS per message, with a destination rate quoted in INR or USD. You do not pay a setup or monthly fee for SMS. Volume and message type decide the rate, and Arabic messages longer than one part are billed per part. Any charges for sender ID registration are listed separately. For campaigns around National Day or Ramadan, ask a few weeks early so your sender ID is registered on both networks in time.
Sales and support are available Monday to Saturday from 9am to 7pm IST, or 6:30am to 4:30pm Qatar time. Qatar's working week runs Sunday to Thursday, so we overlap fully from Monday to Thursday and are closed on Sunday. Because the platform runs 24x7, OTPs and event alerts still go out late at night and at weekends. For a quote, send us your sender name, message types, expected monthly volume and whether you hold a Qatar CR.
Other countries we send to
We also send SMS and WhatsApp messages to customers abroad, with help on each country's sender ID and consent rules.

Frequently asked questions
Must I pre-register my sender ID before sending bulk SMS to Qatar?
Yes. Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar both need your alphanumeric sender ID registered in advance, and carriers began blocking unregistered sender IDs in August 2025. The sender ID should be 3 to 11 characters and clearly linked to your company or brand. Registration usually takes one to two weeks. We prepare the request with you and confirm current requirements at onboarding.
What documents are needed for Qatar sender ID registration?
Most routes ask for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) or letter of authorisation for each network, printed on company letterhead and signed, often with a company stamp. Companies based in Qatar also share their commercial registration (CR) or trade licence. You will also need sample messages, your website and the traffic type. If the sender ID does not obviously match your company name, proof of brand ownership helps.
Can I send promotional SMS to Qatar numbers?
Yes, with prior consent. Qatar's Personal Data Privacy Protection Law bars electronic direct marketing without the person's prior consent, and each offer should identify you, show it is marketing and give a way to stop. Some international routes accept only transactional traffic to Qatar, so tell us at the start if you plan offers, and we will check which route fits.
What is the character limit for Arabic SMS in Qatar?
One Arabic SMS part holds 70 characters. When a message is longer, each part holds 67, because the phone needs room to join the parts. English allows 160 characters in one part and 153 per part when split. Ooredoo's bulk SMS tariff gives the example of a 136-character Arabic message being sent as three parts.
Can Indian businesses send SMS to customers in Qatar?
Yes. Hospitals, colleges, travel agents, builders and remittance firms in India often message customers living in Qatar. You can send to +974 numbers from the same AvanceZone account you use for Indian traffic. DLT registration is an Indian requirement for messages that land on Indian networks. For Qatar, the sender ID registration and consent rules on this page apply instead.
What is the price of bulk SMS to Qatar?
Qatar messages are charged per SMS at a destination rate, quoted in INR or USD, and SMS has no setup or monthly fee. Volume and message type set your rate, and long Arabic messages count as more parts. Send your expected monthly volume, a sample message and your sender name, and you will get a written quote.
