Why UAE businesses choose a bulk SMS service provider in UAE with India support
Real estate brokers in Dubai, clinics in Sharjah, restaurants in Abu Dhabi and trading firms in Deira all need fast one-way messages that work on any phone. SMS still does the jobs that cannot wait: login codes, delivery slots, appointment reminders and payment receipts.
We are AvanceZone Technology, a messaging company in Coimbatore that has worked in bulk SMS since 2000. Many UAE companies have teams or owners with links to India, and they like having one partner for Indian DLT traffic and Gulf traffic. Your UAE messages run on the same panel, with delivery reports for every number.
UAE SMS rules to know before you send
The UAE regulator, TDRA, sets the framework and the licensed operators e& and du apply it. Rules change, so we check the current position with you during onboarding. Based on published operator guidance, these are the points that matter most:
- Alphanumeric sender IDs are usually registered in advance with each operator. Approval on one network does not carry over to the other.
- Promotional sender IDs carry the AD- prefix, for example AD-ACMEUAE. Transactional IDs for OTPs and alerts do not.
- Promotional SMS is generally allowed only between 7am and 9pm UAE time.
- Recipients can block a promotional sender, so honour opt-outs and keep proof of consent with a date and source.
- Registration usually needs a No Objection Certificate on your letterhead, a signed form and ID of the signatory. International companies should allow several weeks.

Arabic or English: writing SMS for the UAE
English works for most business messages in the UAE, but Arabic reaches Emirati customers and many residents more personally. Arabic uses Unicode, so each SMS part holds 70 characters instead of 160. A short Arabic OTP fits in one part. A long Arabic offer may take three parts, so keep it tight.
Some brands send the same message in both languages. That doubles the length, so we usually suggest choosing one language per segment of your list.
When WhatsApp is the better channel in the UAE
WhatsApp is part of daily life in the UAE. For order updates with photos, property brochures, two-way chat with a sales team or Ramadan offers with buttons, the WhatsApp Business API often gets a better response than SMS. We are a Meta Tech Provider and set up the API, templates and shared inbox.
Keep SMS for OTPs, critical alerts and customers who have not opted in on WhatsApp. Many of our clients send WhatsApp first and fall back to SMS when a message is not delivered.
Pricing and support hours
UAE SMS is priced per message and quoted by destination, in INR or USD on request. Operators may also charge their own sender ID fees. Our sales team works Monday to Saturday, 7:30am to 5:30pm UAE time, by phone, WhatsApp and email. The platform runs 24x7.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to register a sender ID to send SMS in the UAE?
In most cases, yes. UAE operators usually require alphanumeric sender IDs to be registered before business traffic is delivered under that name. Registration is done separately with e& and du, and needs a No Objection Certificate and a signed form. We help you prepare the documents and check the current requirements during onboarding.
What does the AD- prefix mean on UAE SMS?
AD- marks a promotional sender ID. Marketing messages in the UAE are sent from a sender ID such as AD-ACMEUAE, so customers can tell it is an advertisement and block it if they wish. OTPs, order alerts and account messages use a transactional sender ID without the prefix.
What time can I send promotional SMS in the UAE?
Published operator guidance places promotional SMS between 7am and 9pm UAE time. Messages outside that window may be blocked. Transactional messages such as OTPs and delivery alerts triggered by the customer can go at any time. We schedule campaigns in UAE time on our panel so you do not have to convert from IST.
Can I send Arabic SMS?
Yes. Our gateway supports Unicode, so Arabic text displays correctly on UAE handsets. Each Arabic SMS part holds up to 70 characters, compared with 160 for plain English, so long Arabic messages are billed as more parts. Our character counter shows the part count before you send.
How much does bulk SMS cost in the UAE?
UAE SMS is billed per message and quoted by destination, in INR or USD on request. The rate depends on your message type and monthly volume. Sender ID registration fees charged by operators are separate. Share your expected volume and we will send a written quote.
